Tasmania Equipment Service
The MND Tasmania Equipment service is available to all Tasmanians living with MND and Kennedy’s Disease.
In 2020 Terry Roles, a man living with MND, alongside his occupational therapist (OT) set up an equipment loan library for people living with MND in Tasmania. The library continued to grow and in 2024 MND Tasmania and MND Victoria partnered with equipment provider Country Care Group to establish an official equipment service in Tasmania.
Through the Tasmania Equipment Service Assistive Technology/Equipment is provided following a request from an Allied Health Professional (AHP). People with MND must be registered with MND Victoria and be a Tasmanian resident. Equipment may be provided for as long as required at no direct cost to you.
Further information including an equipment stock list and an online order form can be found on the MND Victoria website.
ILC Communication Library

- Robotic feeding devices,
- Personal alarms, and
- Carer call bells.
Please discuss with your MND advisor, or allied health professional if you wish to access this support. Further information can be located on the ILCT website, HERE.
